Francesco Giovannangelo
Francesco Giovannangelo was born in 1985 in Guardiagrele (Chieti, Italy). At the age of 5, he began playing piano and at 11 he was admitted to the piano course taught by Maestro Pierluigi Secondi at the \"Luisa D\'Annunzio\" Musical Conservatory in Pescara. After passing to the First Level Advanced Course in 2004, he graduated in 2008 with high honors (110/110 cum laude), with a thesis on a sound and spectrographic analysis of four preludes by Debussy.
Through the years he took part to several piano competitions (e.g. Ortona, Gabicce, Osimo, Caserta, Rocchetta al Volturno), where he always won first places.
In 2004 he graduated from the \"Filippo Masci\" Scientific High School in Chieti and in 2009 he took a bechelor degree in Technology of Audiovisual & Multimedial Communications at the University of Ferrara with a thesis about the soundtrack in the documentary.
He studied composition and musical analysis with Maestro Paolo Rosato and he attended the Composition course at the \"Luisa D\'Annunzio\" Musical Conservatory in the class of Maestro Ferdinando Nazzaro. In july 2010 he also attended the Counducitng Course at the Philharmonic Orchestra of Lviv (Ukraine).
He composed original music for several short films and documentaries and, with Peter Ranalli and Matteo Simone, he founded the \"Manichino d\'Ottone\" Audiovisual Productions workgroup (now \"the_new MOD\"), where he works as a musician and sound technician.
He often works as sound and recording technician too and in 2009 he attended the Sound Engineering course at the \"Scuola Multimediale\" in Ferrara tought by Gian Luca Gadda.
Besides his classical musical studies, drawing from his passion for pop music, he played keyboards and synthesizer in several bands.
In 2013 he attended the \"Interactive Music and Digital Arts Engineer\" specialization course at the Scuola di Alto Perfezionamento Musicale (APM) in Saluzzo where he focused on musical arrangement and sound engineering.
