About James Cannell
From the moment Michael Jackson released "Thriller", a young James became a budding musician. James comes from a musical family. His uncle is bassist in the blues band Egypt, who in his early years supported The Beatles, The Who and David Bowie, played alongside welsh metal band Budgie and toured Europe with Chuck Berry. It's thanks to his uncle that James decided to play guitar from the age of eight, with guitar lessons guided by Tim Jefferson (BBC Radio Midland Orchestra, The John Barclay Collection).
Today, he is a composer of library music and owner of Fuzzy Beard Productions. His catalogue includes a horror soundscape album based on successful Xbox 360 game, Alan Wake. His key influences include, John Williams, Petri Alanko, Brad Fiedel, Basil Pouldouris, Iron Maiden and Michael Jackson.
New material in progress includes a heavy metal concept album based on the life of Joseph Merrick, so watch this space.
