Matteo Curcio
Born and raised on the mean streets of Milano, Matteo Curcio started his musical journey when he was 15, when he started playing bass guitar in the psychedelic music scene.
He first became interested in the electronic music after listening to Kraftwerk “The Man Machine” being active part of the UK’s acid house music scene. After watching The Orb and Orbital live, he bought a pair of Technics.
He started touring with the moniker Musetta on 2006 playing at Italian’s main festivals such as Heineken Jammin’ Festival, Arezzo Wave, Rock Contest, MTV Day ‘08, MTV Sunset, always with a great response from the audience.
His tracks are regularly featured on TV series and movies (“Enough Said” ft. James Gandolfini, Showtime’s “House of Lies”, The CW “Star-Crossed”, CBS "Elementary" among others).
The remixes of Musetta singles ‘Peace and Melody’, soon followed by ‘Red Star’, ‘Nicotine’ and ‘Standing by my Side’, released on over 300 records by Morrison Recordings (Canada) and Armada Records (Holland), climbed the Beatport charts and received the endorsement of Pete Tong, Tiesto, John Digweed, Sasha, Armin van Bureen, Markus Schulz, Paul Oakenfold, Laurent Garnier and David Guetta.
