Frédéric Chopin’s Nocturne in B major, Op. 32, No. 1, dedicated to Madame Camile de Billing, was published by the composer in 1837. It is initially marked andante sostenuto, then transitions to adagio. The piece is more aptly described as a ballade in miniature.
