Melancholic, like any other type of temperament, is not in itself bad or good. In other words, negative qualities of a melancholic are compensated by its positive qualities. For example, isolation, pessimism, anxiety, propensity to stress, low working capacity are compensated by increased sensitivity, ability to see the beautiful, to foresee difficulties, to be stable in relationships and sympathies.
